NMB Bank Limited (NMB) is the first commercial bank of Nepal that has been able to upgrade from a Finance Company to full- fledged Commercial Bank. Nepal Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd., the erstwhile name of the institution, was amongst the leading financial institutions in its category till May 2008 when the transformation process for the upgradation was complete and changed its name to NMB Bank Limited.
